Since arriving in Sydney just over five months ago, I’ve been lucky enough to have a number of visitors – my gorgeous friend Chloe, two of my best friends Eleanor and Sarah, and most recently my little sister Jojo and her best friend KC – who left today for Singapore. It’s given me ample opportunity to not only show them my favourite spots and things to do during summertime in Sydney, but also to explore the city I now call home.
An Instagrammer’s dream, Sydney is the most picturesque of places – with rolling coastlines, beach-chic brunch spots and plenty of points to watch the sun rise or set depending on your inclination – I don’t think I’ll ever bore of its stunning scenery. And so, in homage to the city that I, and many others, have fallen so very much in love with, I’ll be blogging for the next twenty days about some of my very favourite things to do during a summer down-under, and will have guest posts from three wonderful bloggers – Jayne from Girl Tweets World, Shandos from Travelnuity and Vicky from Eat, Sleep, Love, Travel.
For me it will be the perfect way to diarise what I’ve been doing since I first touched down in Sydney all those months ago, and I hope it will be of use to anyone planning a trip to Australia’s most beloved harbour city anytime soon.
It was exactly a year ago on Wednesday that I left Sydney after the perfect three-week holiday, and on the somewhat traumatic and very teary drive to the airport, I promised myself I would return one day, to live. Boy am I glad I did.
